How Paul stays busy

1.) How do you keep yourself busy everyday? Applying for jobs online & writing.

2.) How would you describe the employment rate in your state? Lack of jobs= not too good in job creation "A report released Friday says more than 720,000 people are living at or near the poverty level in Connecticut.
The report put together by the Connecticut Association for Community Action, the Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis and BWB Solutions looks at 20 years of data, and the research is sobering - as of 2010, 21 percent of all Connecticut residents live at or near poverty - almost every town in Connecticut saw an increase of very poor residents since 1990. Connecticut employment has been stagnant for 20 years, and according to the report, Connecticut has the worst job creation record in the nation.
According Dr. Fred Carstensen of the Connecticut Center for Economic Analysis and one of the researchers of the report, there are a few reasons why.
"Connecticut really did not pay attention to economic development. We also had done a poor job of linking our educational pipeline to employer needs," said Carstensen. "Part of it was that we simply weren't paying attention to the problems."
The report called Meeting the Challenge: The Dynamics of Poverty in Connecticut offers some basic policy changes researchers believe will help reverse the poverty trend in Connecticut.
"Connecticut in general, historically, has done a very poor job of just paying attention to its own competitive position," said Carstensen. "We were the only state in the nation for a period of time that had no liaison with the U.S. Census office. We aren't doing the kind of analysis on a regular basis that is so critical for informing policy discussions. So we're a little flying blind in Connecticut."
The report did praise the Malloy administration for following through on commitments to compete and bring new economic and business development projects, like Maine’s Jackson Laboratory to the state."

3.) You seem to be the type of person who is at their best when facing adversity. What makes you stay so motivated? I put all my trust & faith in God and realize that what I'm going through is just for a season.

4.) What do you like the most about online writing? What I really love about online writing is being a storyteller & engaging my readers in the stories that I write.

5.) What do you like the least about online writing? Sometimes the editing that I do is more fun because I write a lot & I have to read my writing as well as the readers. Not everyone know what it is like when you as a writer have to read your own writing and edit the errors you made in your writing.

6.) Just Imagine being on a vacation spot of your choice please write a brief story describing how you would capture your readers interest. I'm in Florence, Italy & I have met a lot of friendly Italians. I'm at this wonderful Italian restaurant & next to it is a McDonald's restaurant. I'm eating my favorite Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza that is and it's only my first night in Italy. I'm at a table and I'm writing a journal about my experience in wonderful Italy. I don't speak any Italian so I'm not understanding the language but I happened to meet a really sweet Italian woman who speak Italian who is visiting her family in Florence. The woman lives in the US, she is from New York City. Me & the Italian woman become best friends while I am vacationing in Florence. The Italian woman can translate every Italian conversations in English so I won't look lost not understanding the Italian language. I am reminded of why I wanted to come to beautiful Italy & visit and the friendly people are giving me a really good reason why I should think about living in Italy while I am enjoying some good homemade cannoli's!

7.) What do you like most about telling stories in your writing? What I really like most about storytelling is thinking of a scenario and writing it down in a rough draft. After I write a little rough draft what I am going to do, then I begin to type the story up on the computer. When it come to the fictional stories that I write, the whole idea & concept of my fictional stories are real but I write them in a form of fictional stories. The readers are reading my fictional stories and thinking to themselves "What this looks like this happened!" Fictional stories are more nonfiction than they were back then. Fairy Tale fictional stories are more of the thing of the past nowadays. http://citysuburb.wix.com/pauls-writing-style/apps/blog/fictional-story-busted-brackets

8.) What do you like least about telling stories in your writing? I can't say that I like anything the least about storytelling because I really enjoy being a storyteller. I must say that the hardest thing about writing sometimes is that there are days when it's hard to come up with words to say. When you have days where you don't know what you want to write about it is best to not write those days.

9.) What made you decide to do online writing? After being on websites for 7 years (message boards 3 years & social networking websites 8 years) I felt it was time for me to showcase my hidden talent as a writer & get my own websites (blogger & wix) and let everyone on social networking see my stories & my writing techniques. I mainly decided to do my online writing that I have been doing for 4 1/2 years now to encourage those who have hidden talent not be bashful.

10.) What advice would you give to those who are writing online for the first time? I encourage them that whatever he or she writes to write from the heart. You want your readers to see that passion, emotion, and creativity that you have. You want to learn from others which I felt was a key for me when I first started writing online. One of my favorite writers is Maya Angelou & I'm inspired by all of her poems that she have written. To all of those who are writing for the very first I want to encourage you to write what's more comfortable for you (in other words write how you feel). I use pictures & videos as props in my writing. You may want to use pictures or videos in your writing or not but whatever you do make sure your are keeping your readers interested, engaged, and entertained.
